Driving
Wipers and washers
The wipers and washers are important to maintaining good driving visibility through the windshield.
Note
- Remove snow and ice from the windshield before driving. Using the wipers with snow or ice in the way can damage the wipers.
- Use washer fluid with anti-freeze mixed in during freezing temperatures. Failure to do so can cause damage to the washer fluid system.
- Keep the windshield clean. Failure to do so could damage or alter the performance of the wipers.
- Clean and check the wiper blades regularly. Failure to do so could cause them to prematurely fail or not function properly.
- Do not try to spray washer fluid when the washer fluid tank is empty. Doing so will damage the washer fluid nozzles.
- Use washer fluid with antifreeze when the temperature is below 0 °C. Otherwise, the pump, the reservoir, and/or the hoses can freeze, which could cause damage to the washer fluid system.
