Adjust the rear seats

The outer rear seats can be adjusted in two ways:

  • The buttons on the sides of the rear seats
  • The center display

To adjust the rear seats using the buttons on the seats

Adjustment buttons on the side of a rear seat
  1. Press the button Lean backrest forward on the side of the seat to lean the seat backrest forwards.
  2. Press the button Lean backrest backward on the side of the seat to lean the seat backrest backwards.

To adjust the rear seats using the center display, navigate to Seat adjustment Seat adjustment.

Note
The rear seat adjustment buttons are not disabled by the child lock.

Fold the rear seats

Warning
When folding or unfolding the rear seats, make sure the seat belts are not stuck or twisted. When unfolding the seats, also make sure the seats are securely locked in place. Failure to do so could result in death or serious injury.
Caution
Before folding or unfolding the rear seats, make sure there is nothing underneath or behind the seat back that could get stuck or crushed. Failure to do so could lead to injury or damage to items on the seat.
Note
Before folding the rear seat, adjust the headrests to their lowest position or remove them, and make sure there is enough space for the rear seat backrests to fold without touching the front seat backrests. Failure to do so may result in damage to the headrests.

Both sections of the rear seats can be folded separately by pulling the tabs on the backrests.

To fold the rear seats

Folding a rear seat backrest forward
  1. Raise and/or remove the concealing panel. See Luggage compartment.
  2. Pull the tab on the outside of the outer rear headrest(s) upward.
  3. Fold the seat forward by pulling the backrest(s) forward.

To unfold the rear seats

  1. Move the front seats forwards (if needed).
  2. Pull the backrest(s) up.
  3. Make sure the seat belts and buckles are accessible and unhindered.
  4. Push the backrests into place.
  5. Check that the backrests are secure.
