Coolant
The coolant keeps the motor and the high voltage battery operating at optimal temperatures. It is particularly important to have the coolant inspected before winter or if the car is going to be taken to a cold area.
- Only use coolant specified by Zeekr. Failure to do so could cause damage to the high voltage battery and/or cooling system.
- Do not mix coolants from different brands even if they are of the same type. Doing so could cause the motor to overheat due to changed coolant properties.
- Make sure to have the coolant inspected before exposing the car to freezing temperatures. Failure to do so can cause the coolant to freeze, destroying the coolant system and allowing the motor and high voltage battery to overheat.
If there is not enough coolant in the tank, the high voltage battery and the motor will overheat since the coolant cannot cool them down. Using the right type of coolant is also important. If the environment is colder than the approved temperature range of the coolant, the coolant will freeze and expand, damaging or destroying the cooling system.
