Service intervals

It is very important to replace the fluids according to the service interval. The table lists general service items and their respective service intervals under normal driving conditions.

A service technician might suggest additional service items upon inspection of the car.

SystemService itemService interval
BrakesBrake fluidaEvery 24 months
Air conditioningFilter elementaEvery 24 months or 40,000 km
CoolingCoolantEvery 48 months or 80,000 km
DrivetrainGearbox oilEvery 40,000 km

aIn harsh driving conditions, the recommended service interval is half of the stated service interval for normal driving conditions. For example, the brake fluid should be replaced every year if the car is driven in very hilly or humid conditions.

Examples of harsh conditions

  • Frequent short distance driving.
  • Frequent braking during driving.
  • Frequent low speed driving.
  • Frequent driving in a dusty or sandy region.
  • Frequent driving on salty roads.
  • Frequent driving in very hot or very cold conditions.
