High visibility vest and warning triangle

If you must leave the car during an emergency, turn on the hazard warning lights and use the high visibility vest and the warning triangle to ensure you and the other road users stay as safe as possible. Remember to follow local regulations.

High visibility vest

The high visibility vest is found underneath the luggage compartment floor cover. Always wear the high visibility vest if you need to exit the car while in traffic.

Warning triangle

The warning triangle is located inside the tailgate. Typically, on a normal road, it is recommended to place the warning triangle 50–100 m behind the car. On a highway, place the triangle at least 150 m behind the car, or at least 200 m behind the car if visibility is poor, for example during heavy rain or fog.

To use the warning triangle
